Route 3 Widening

Construction activities are ongoing along Route 3 from just north of Route 28 to just south of Potts Junction.

Route 1/3 Intersection Improvements (Dededo)

Construction activities are ongoing at the Route 1/ Route 3 intersection. Starting Monday, September 24, 2018, motorists are advised that there will be intermittent lane closures and shifts on Route 1 northbound traffic. The Route 1 northbound left lane west of the intersection will be a left turn-only lane onto Route 3. Two northbound through lanes will be maintained. Motorists continuing northbound on Route 1 are advised to move to the right two lanes in advance of the intersection.

Motorists are advised that there will be intermittent lane closures and shifts on Route 1 southbound traffic starting from the Dededo Police Station to the Route 3 intersection. The right lane will be restricted to right turn only at Route 3. The center lane will be closed. No U-turn traffic will be allowed. Motorists traveling southbound on Route 1 are advised to merge to the open lanes as directed by traffic signs and flaggers.

Starting September 24, 2018, the Route 3 southbound outer lane after Guam Regional Medical Center will be closed. Motorists are advised to merge to the middle lane. The Route 3 southbound traffic turning right onto Route 1 southbound are restricted to right turn on Green only.

Route 1 and Route 8 Resurfacing

From Wednesday, September 26, 2018 through Friday, Sept 28, 2018, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will be paving along southbound lanes on Route 1 from New Asan Beach Market to Cabras Power Plant between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists traveling south on Route 1 (Asan-Piti) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect longer delays.

Road repair will start this week along northbound lanes on Route 1 from Cabras Power Plant to New Asan Beach Market between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Motorists traveling north on Route 1 (Asan-Piti) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

From Monday, September 24, 2018 through Tuesday, Sept 25, 2018, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will be paving along eastbound lanes on Route 8 from Admiral Sherman Blvd to Route 33 between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists traveling east on Route 8 (Barrigada to Mongmong-Toto) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, road repair will start along westbound lanes on Route 8 at the intersection of Admiral Sherman Blvd and Route 33 between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There will be lane shifts. Motorists traveling west on Route 8 (Barrigada to Mongmong-Toto) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

Chalan Pahong – Chalan Pago/Ordot

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crews will continue preparing the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays.

Perez Heights – Talofofo

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew will perform road repairs due to damages from Typhoon Mangkhut and will prepare the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays during these times due to intermittent lane closures and shifts.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through all construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed to flaggers. Alternative routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
