A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Lighthouse Recovery Center for Women at the Salvation Army on Tuesday.
The groundbreaking marks the beginning phase of the Lighthouse Recovery Center Residential Treatment Center for Women — a joint project of the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority and the Salvation Army.
The center is also known as Guma’ Famalao’an Guam and is an expansion of the Salvation Army’s residential treatment services.
The Salvation Army of Guam will build the new facility for women near the Salvation Army’s Lighthouse Recovery Center for Men.
The new facility will offer a structured program for women battling substance abuse.
