Senator of the 36th Guam Legislature / Minority Leader, Chris Duenas speaks to Patti about why him and some of his cohorts in Legislature walked out of session. According to Duenas, the walk-out came after a call for an on-record discussion on how Bill 130-36 (Guam World War II Reconciliation Act of 2021) came to be. After the call for a transparent discussion to bring those responsible for the bill was met with resistance, Duenas, along with Senators Tony Ada, Joanne Brown, Frank Blas Jr., and Telo Taitague proceeded to leave Legislative Session. “I think the people of Guam deserve an explanation, and on the record is how to do it”, said Duenas.
