Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors-
A tropical disturbance SSE of Guam and its associated monsoon trough will track slowly WNW the next few days, passing just south of Guam. This disturbance will generate showery conditions with locally heavy rainfall beginning as early as Friday evening and continuing into early next week.
We will be monitoring this situation as it evolves. A Hydrologic Outlook has been issued (see link below). Flood Watches and Advisories will be issued as necessary.
For weekend planning: don’t cancel your plans yet-but consider postponing activities or making alternate plans based on weather conditions; pay close attention to public weather forecasts (see link below); and be alert to any flooding of low-lying areas, rivers or streams.
