Chief of Guam Police Department (GPD), Stephen Ignacio speaks to Patti about the oversight hearing held last week. Although Chief Ignacio could not offer much due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation, on the topic of alleged GPD Officers and Government of Guam employees participating in illegal gambling, he says there are some allowances under the Social Gambling Statute which would deem some actions to be lawful. In response to comments made by Senator Jose “Pedo” Terlaje last week requesting a private audience with the GPD Chief to discuss the investigation, Ignacio says that he has not been contacted by Senator Terlaje or his office, but says the Attorney General of Guam’s office would be contacted should the event arise.
