Written by on September 27, 2021

Deputy Superintendent of Educational Support & Communication for Guam Department of Education (GDOE), Erika Cruz speaks to Patti about new COVID-19 Mitigation Protocols to help keep GDOE students & faculty protected against the virus. Cruz reassures listeners of NewsTalk K57 that GDOE is far from lax when it comes to enforcement of social distancing requirements & COVID-19 protocols, though she does admit that there is indeed a need for more school aides to help assist. On the topic of parents wishing to continue with online learning, Cruz reports that about 260 households have opted for this option, though finding enough teachers capable of facilitating   this option is proving increasingly difficult.
