GCC students to host candidate forums Oct. 3,4 and 24, 25


Students at Guam Community College are providing fellow students and members of the public with the opportunity to hear from Guam’s gubernatorial and senatorial candidates from the Democratic and Republican parties in October.

GCC Criminal Justice and Social Sciences students will host the 2018 Gubernatorial forums on Wednesday and Thursday, October 3 and 4, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Multipurpose Auditorium (Bldg. 400). The Republican party’s gubernatorial team of Lt. Gov. Ray Tenorio and Sen. Tony Ada will appear at the Wednesday, October 3 forum, and the Democratic party’s gubernatorial team of former Sen. Lou Leon Guerrero and Joshua Tenorio will appear on Thursday, October 4.

Then on Wednesday and Thursday, October 24 and 25, Supervision & Management students will host the 2018 Senatorial forums for students to hear from the senatorial candidates. The candidates from the Democratic party will speak at Wednesday’s forum on October 24, and the Republican candidates will have the stage on Thursday, October 25.

All forums will be from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the GCC Multipurpose Auditorium (Bldg. 400) on the GCC campus. Students will be able to register to vote at all forums. Voter registration on gubernatorial forum nights will start at 5:00 p.m.
