Community Invited to Celebrate Emergency Medical Services Week
Hagåtña—The Emergency Medical Services Week committee, on behalf of the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), Guam Fire Department (GFD), Andersen Fire, Navy Fire, Marine Camp Blaz, Guam Airport Aircraft Rescue Fire, Guam Community College, Access Medical Transport, and Marianas Medical Response, is inviting the public to the Hands-Only CPR, Stop the Bleed, and Rescue Demonstration Fair at the Agana Shopping Center on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This event, as well as events earlier in the week, honor and promote Guam’s local Emergency Medical Services Responders, Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics who stand strong and dedicated to saving the lives of the people of Guam.
To conclude EMS Week, a Proclamation Signing and Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, to honor the lifesaving actions and significant achievements of EMS providers islandwide.
