Director for Department of Revenue & Taxation (DRT), Dafne Shimizu speaks to Patti via Zoom regarding continuos traffic congestion moving into DRT for service. Shimizu also says her department, though in talks with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regarding the distribution of the third round of Economic Impact Payment (EIP), is presently focusing on the second round of EIP as the deadline to receive payment is fast approaching on March 19, 2021. Shimizu also comments on Senator Amanda Shelton’s Bill 65-36, which would make handicap placards permanent. Shimizu spends the latter half of the interview fielding various questions regarding EIP, tax filing, online services, and other various DRT services.
