Director for Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities (DISID), Phyliss Leon Guerrero; Deputy Director for DISID, Michelle Perez, and Attorney Jeffery Warfield speaks to guest host Jayne Flores about accessibility and accommodations for Guam’s community of people with disabilities at the Guam National Guard run COVID-19 vaccination site. Currently, vaccinations hosted by the National Guard are being housed at the University of Guam Field House. According to Warfield, a briefing was warranted between DISID & the National Guard after a complaint was made by a listener of NewsTalk K57 claimed he was directed to a parking area and was forced to walk further than his disability would allow in order to receive his vaccination.
